Be Diversity Competent will teach individuals and organizations how to:

• STOP offensive comments and inappropriate behaviors when they occur
• Confidently address racist, sexist and homophobic attitudes and behaviors
• Create Diversity-Friendly, Inclusive and Welcoming Environments
• Effectively lead and manage diverse teams to increase organizational synergy and productivity
• Identify and overcome Diversity BAPS (Biases, Assumptions, Prejudices and Stereotypes)
• Communicate appropriately with non-native speakers of English
• Eliminate diversity grudges and move towards diversity forgiveness
• Identify the 4 Barriers of Diversity Conflict and Tension in life, school & work
• Differentiate between assimilation and cultural adaptation to prevent ethnocentrism
• Facilitate healthy and safe discussions around Affirmative Action  and white privilege
